Privacy Policy

Lumineer is a design tool built for professional Christmas light installers. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It’s short on purpose — we don’t do anything exotic with your data.
Who we are
Lumineer is a product of Holiday Lights Inc., a Florida corporation. Contact: hello@lumineer.app.
What we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account info — your name and email address when you sign up.
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, design activity, anonymized device and browser info, IP address.
- Design content you upload — house photos, design projects, and materials lists you create in Lumineer.
- Payment info — billing address and last-4 of your card, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Where we get it
Directly from you (when you sign up, upload photos, or build a design), automatically from your browser (usage analytics), and from Stripe when you pay.
How we use it
- To operate the design tool and keep your work synced across devices.
- To bill you, process subscription changes, and prevent fraud.
- To provide support and respond when you email us.
- To improve the product — anonymized analytics on how features are used.
- To secure your account and detect abuse.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run Lumineer. None of them sell your data.
- Supabase — hosts your account, authentication, and designs.
- Stripe — processes payments and subscriptions.
- PostHog — product analytics. Anonymized or pseudonymized event data.
- AI providers (Google Gemini) — when you use the AI Scene Changer, your photo is sent to Google Gemini for processing. The resulting night-scene image is returned to your account. The provider does not retain your photo for training or for any other purpose beyond returning the generated image.
- Email delivery — transactional email (signup confirmation, billing receipts).
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lumineer, our users, or others.
We don’t sell or share for behavioral advertising
Lumineer doesn’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This statement is included to comply with the California CCPA; other states with similar rules apply the same default.
How long we keep it
Account data: we retain your account and designs for a reasonable period after cancellation so you can reactivate or export — typically up to 12 months, after which inactive accounts may be deleted. You can request immediate deletion anytime by emailing hello@lumineer.app.
Usage analytics: up to 24 months, or anonymized sooner.
Payment records: kept for as long as US tax and accounting rules require (typically 7 years). Stripe holds its own records per its retention policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you.
- Correct information that’s wrong.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Limit the use of sensitive information.
Email hello@lumineer.appto make a request. We’ll respond within 45 days. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising a right.
If you’re in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah, you may have specific rights under your state’s privacy law; the rights above cover the substance of what each law requires.
Children
Lumineer is built for professional installers and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data — encryption in transit, secure authentication via Supabase, payments via Stripe. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we’ll notify you promptly as required by law.
Cookies and tracking
Lumineer uses cookies for session management (keeping you logged in) and product analytics. We don’t use third-party advertising cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies — doing so may break sign-in.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, email account holders before the change takes effect.
